Wie ist die Wand aufgebaut?

How is the wall constructed?

Anyone interested in a Tiny House usually wants to know more about how it is built – after all, it is intended to be a fully-fledged, permanent home and not just a makeshift solution.

Our Tiny Houses are pure timber constructions, completely prefabricated in dry conditions at Köhldorfner in Schnaitsee. The exterior walls are built as timber-frame walls with a structural frame made of 60 x 140 mm KVH (structural solid timber), planked on the outside with a 40 mm thick wood fiber board (U-value 0.24 W/m²K) – load-bearing walls and partition walls are also made of timber. The ceilings are constructed as beam ceilings.

We consistently use wood fiber for insulation instead of synthetic insulation materials: In the roof, we use 160 mm thick blown-in wood fiber insulation; in the floor, a combination of 60 mm leveling insulation and 35 mm Steico floor insulation, each supplemented by dry screed and flooring. Wood fiber is diffusion-open, stores heat well, and ensures noticeably more pleasant indoor temperatures, especially in summer, compared to many synthetic insulation materials.

The roof is a traditional carpenter's purlin roof with flat roof sealing or metal roofing, and the stairs are solid wood stairs. The windows come from MANHART's own production and are designed as wooden windows with solar control glazing and electric roller shutters. In addition, there is a decentralized living space ventilation system that ensures a healthy indoor climate without you having to ventilate constantly.

In short: they are built with the same care as a classic solid house – just more compact, more efficient, and with a significantly shorter construction time. It is best to see for yourself during a viewing in Wasserburg.
