Mehr über Heizstrahler erfahren

An infrared heater does not heat the air, but rather the people and surfaces it shines on. That is why it still works even when there is a breeze in the evening – unlike a gas patio heater, whose warm air is blown away. We carry heaters from ExtremeLine, the heating and lighting brand of S.E. System Electronic GmbH in Halfing, located just under half an hour away from us.

Which heater fits where

The HeatFlare is the designer heater for patios and conservatories. The HeatTube is a slim tube for wall or ceiling mounting where space is limited. The HeatShine is a carbon heater with a particularly pleasant, soft light. The HeatTower is a freestanding model that can be placed exactly where you are sitting.

The three questions before purchasing

First: How high will the heater be mounted? The higher it is, the more power is needed so that enough heat reaches the area below. Second: How windy is the location? Infrared is less sensitive than gas, but even here, the more open the location, the more power is required. Third: How are you seated? A heater over a dining table works differently than one over a lounge area, where people sit lower and further apart.

Control and remote transmitters

The receiver technology is built into the units, but the transmitter is not included in the scope of delivery. Suitable hand-held and wall-mounted transmitters are available for ExRemote 2.0, Bluetooth, Somfy io, and Warema WMS. One transmitter can control multiple devices – even if you buy two or three heaters, you only need one transmitter. If you are already controlling an awning or venetian blind with Somfy or Warema, you can add the heaters to the same remote control.

On umbrellas and awnings

Heaters can be factory-fitted to many CARAVITA parasols and awnings, with the wiring concealed inside the mast or the cassette. This must be decided at the time of order and cannot be retrofitted later – so it is best to consult with us beforehand.

Frequently asked questions

How much electricity does a heater use?
Depending on the model and setting, between approximately 1.5 and 3.2 kilowatts. At 30 cents per kilowatt-hour, a 2-kilowatt unit costs around 60 cents per hour.

Does it require high-voltage power?
The common models run on a standard 230-volt power outlet. If you are installing multiple units on one circuit, we will check this with you beforehand.

Can the heater be exposed to rain?
The units are built for outdoor use and are splash-proof. However, none should be left in the rain permanently; a roof or awning overhead will extend their service life.

Is the red light glaring?
Short-wave heaters emit a visible red glow. If this bothers you, choose a model with Low-Glare technology or a carbon heater – we can tell you which device produces which type of light.
