Wing light stool

The Fischer Möbel Wing light stool is an outdoor stool with a height of 36 cm and a seat measuring 50 × 55 cm. It is intended as a footstool for the Wing light relax chair and also serves as additional seating in a lounge setting. The seat is covered with fm-rope, a braided 5 mm thick outdoor rope that is permeable to air and water.

As with the other Wing light furniture, you can choose between a completely powder-coated aluminum frame in anthracite or white and a version with a teak wood base.

Regarding the height: 36 cm is deliberately lower than the 38 cm seat height of the relax chair, which allows your legs to rest at a slight downward angle. It does not pair well as a footrest with the Wing light chair with a 45 cm seat height, however, because you sit more upright in that model.

Regarding use as a surface: The seat is a woven mesh, not a flat panel. A book or a blanket will lie securely, but a glass may be unstable. Using a sturdy tray that rests across the entire surface makes it a useful side table.

Regarding color combinations: Six versions can be ordered. Anthracite-colored rope comes with the anthracite aluminum, light gray or jasmine with the white frame, and you have your choice of all three rope colors with the teak base.

When it comes to stools, two centimeters are worth a look. The Wing light stool is 36 cm high, while the Relax armchair has a seat height of 38 cm. This small difference is why your legs rest in a relaxed position rather than feeling pressure behind the knees. A footstool at the same height starts to feel uncomfortable after ten minutes.

I should add: the stool is only of limited use as a surface. The top is a rope weave, so a glass will be unstable on it. It works with a sturdy tray. If you really need a place to set things down, let me know—then we'd be better off looking for a side table instead.

The stool is built for permanent outdoor use and requires little attention. These points are sufficient.

• Cleaning the weave: rinse with clear water and a soft brush; for heavier soiling, use pH-neutral soap. Do not use a pressure washer or abrasive cleaning agents.
• A special note for the stool: putting your feet on it while wearing street shoes will track sand into the weave. While this can be brushed out, it will cause friction on the ropes over time.
• Cleaning the frame: use a soft cloth, clear water, and a mild detergent. Touch up any paint damage promptly.
• Teak wood: It does not need to be treated. Without maintenance, it will turn a silvery grey; if you wish to maintain the brown tone, apply oil once or twice a year.
• Check and tighten screws once a year.
• Bring seat cushions inside after use or store them in a dry place.
• Overwintering: The stool can remain outside, provided it is sheltered from the wind and slightly elevated. Use cover 15-112 to cover it, not plastic sheeting. However, at 6.5 kg, you can also easily carry it into the shed.

Slight color changes to the weave due to sunlight are normal and not a defect. If a rope chafes or a screw no longer holds, please contact us – we can obtain spare parts through Fischer Möbel.

Delivery time: approx. 3 to 6 weeks. Fischer Möbel manufactures to order; your combination of frame and rope color is only built after you place your order.

Delivery is free of charge for you. The stool weighs 6.5 kg and is shipped as a single package. If you order it together with an armchair, we will coordinate the delivery so that both arrive at the same time.

Please let us know when ordering if delivery might be difficult: narrow access, backyard, stairs, or if no no-parking zone can be set up. We prefer to clarify this with the shipping company in advance.

Please check the shipment upon delivery and have any visible transport damage noted directly on the bill of lading. This is the only basis for a claim against the shipping company.
