Wing light armchair

The Fischer Möbel Wing light armchair is an outdoor armchair with a seat height of 45 cm. It is therefore designed for dining table height and not as lounge furniture. The seat and backrest are covered with fm-rope, a 5 mm thick braided outdoor rope that is permeable to air and water and dries on its own.

You can choose between a fully powder-coated aluminum frame in anthracite or white, or a version with a teak base, where the seat frame remains made of aluminum.

Four combinations can be ordered: anthracite aluminum with anthracite rope, white aluminum with light gray rope, as well as the teak base with either anthracite or light gray rope. The rope color jasmine is not intended for this model.

Before purchasing, take a look at your table. The armchair has armrests, which do not fit under every tabletop. Measure the clearance between the floor and the lower edge of the table apron. Also, allow for more space between places than with chairs without armrests. We will send you the dimensioned drawing from Fischer Möbel if you want to know exactly.

Why not the stacking chair from the hardware store: That is designed for one season. Here, you get an aluminum frame that cannot rust and upholstery made for lasting UV and moisture exposure. In addition, individual parts can be reordered through Fischer Möbel, instead of needing four new chairs in five years.

Regarding the seating experience: Without a cushion, you sit directly on the weave. It is firm, but not hard, as the strands yield slightly. This is perfectly sufficient for a meal. Anyone sitting at the table all evening should use a seat cushion.

The Wing light armchair weighs 7.5 kilograms. That may sound like a minor detail, but for me, it is the reason I am happy to recommend it: you can carry it with one hand from the table into the sun and back again. Heavy garden chairs usually stay exactly where they were placed in April.

When it comes to choosing a color, I would advise against picking the white frame without giving it some thought. White shows pollen and dust more clearly than anthracite. Under a canopy, this is not an issue, but under a birch tree, it certainly is. Give me a call, and we can quickly go over your specific situation.

The Wing light armchair is built for permanent outdoor use. It requires little, but there are a few things you should know.

• Cleaning the weave: rinse with clear water and a soft brush; for heavier soiling, use a pH-neutral soap. Pollen and fine sand settle in the gaps and can be removed with the brush.
• Do not use a high-pressure cleaner or abrasive agents. Both will roughen the rope surface.
• Cleaning the frame: use a soft cloth, clear water, and a mild detergent. The white frame shows dirt sooner, but is just as easy to care for as the anthracite one.
• Teak wood: if left untreated, it will turn a silvery grey. If you wish to maintain the brown tone, clean the wood in the spring and re-oil it once or twice a year.
• Tighten the screws once a year. The connections work more in an armchair that is moved often than in one that stays in place.
• Bring cushions inside after use or store them in a dry place.
• Overwintering: The armchair can be left outside. Place it in a sheltered spot, slightly raised, and cover it with cover 15-118, not with plastic film.

A note that is easily overlooked: at a weight of only 7.5 kg, the armchair may move in strong winds. Push it against the table or move it under cover if a storm is forecast.

Slight color changes in the weave due to the sun are normal and not a defect. If a rope chafes, please contact us before improvising.

Delivery time: approx. 3 to 6 weeks. Fischer Möbel manufactures on demand; your combination of frame and rope color is built only after your order is placed.

Delivery is free of charge for you. Individual armchairs are sent via parcel service; larger orders and armchairs together with a table are delivered by a freight forwarder to the curb. At 7.5 kg per chair, you can carry the packages into the house without assistance.

Please let us know when ordering if delivery is difficult: narrow access, backyard, stairs, or if no no-parking zone can be set up. We prefer to clarify this in advance rather than having the driver arrive at your door and be unable to proceed.

Please check the shipment upon delivery and have any visible transport damage noted directly on the consignment note. This is the only basis for a complaint against the freight forwarder.
