Wing light Relax armchair

The Fischer Möbel Wing light Relax armchair is an outdoor lounge chair. It has a low cut, a wide, flared backrest, and a seat height of 38 cm. The seat frame is covered with fm-rope, a 5 mm thick braided outdoor rope. The weave is air- and water-permeable: rain runs off instead of collecting, and the upholstery dries on its own.

You can choose between two frame variants. In the aluminum version, the entire frame is powder-coated in matte anthracite or matte white with a textured finish. In the teak version, the aluminum seat frame sits on a teak wood base.

Regarding color combinations: Fischer Möbel offers six versions. The anthracite aluminum frame comes with anthracite rope, while the white frame comes with light grey or jasmine. With the teak base, you have a choice of all three rope colors. Other combinations are not available.

Why not the lounge chair from the garden center: There, you usually get plastic wicker on painted steel, plus a thick cushion that you have to bring inside after every rain. Here, an aluminum frame that cannot rust and an outdoor rope made for constant UV and moisture exposure do the work. The armchair can stay outside, and that makes all the difference in everyday life.

Regarding space requirements: 103 × 92 cm of floor space is a lot for a lounge chair. If you are planning two armchairs with a side table in between, expect a width of around 2.5 meters. Use masking tape to mark the size on your patio before ordering.

Regarding seat height: 38 cm is intentionally low. You sit reclined and do not just stand up casually. If you need a higher seating position, take a look at the Wing light armchair with a seat height of 45 cm.

I chose this armchair because of its seat height: 38 centimeters. That is low, and you notice it when standing up. If you have knee issues, you are better off with the Wing light armchair and its 45 centimeters. For everyone else, that is exactly the point – you don't sit on this armchair, you sit in it.

In everyday use, I appreciate the rope weave. After a summer thunderstorm, you can sit down here while upholstered furniture is still dripping. There is no cushion to bring inside in the evening, and no surface where water can pool. That sounds unspectacular, but it determines how often an armchair is actually used.

fm-rope and a powder-coated aluminium frame are built for permanent outdoor use. There is not much to do; a few simple steps a year are sufficient.

• Cleaning the weave: rinse with clear water and a soft brush; for heavier soiling, use pH-neutral soap. Do not use a high-pressure cleaner or abrasive agents, as they will roughen the rope surface.
• Cleaning the frame: soft cloth, clear water, mild cleaner. Touch up any paint damage promptly so that no further deterioration occurs at that spot.
• Teak wood: It does not need to be treated and will turn silvery-grey without maintenance. If you wish to maintain the brown tone, clean the wood in the spring and oil it once or twice a year with teak oil. Do not apply oil to damp wood or in direct, strong sunlight.
• Inspect and tighten screw connections once a year, especially at the joint between the seat frame and the base.
• Cushions are not made of all-weather material. Bring them inside after use or store them in a dry place.
• Overwintering: The chair may remain outside. Place it in a sheltered, slightly elevated position and cover it with the 15-111 cover; do not use plastic film. Condensation forms under plastic film.

Slight colour changes to the weave due to sunlight are normal and not a defect. They occur with every outdoor fabric and develop evenly with consistent exposure to the weather.

If a rope chafes or a screw no longer holds: contact us before improvising. We can obtain spare parts via Fischer Möbel and will tell you what to do.

Delivery time: approximately 3 to 6 weeks. Fischer Möbel manufactures to order. Therefore, the armchair is not in stock, but is built in your chosen combination of frame and rope color.

Delivery is carried out by a freight forwarder to the curb and is free of shipping costs for you. The armchair weighs 13 kg and arrives largely assembled. Two people can easily carry it to its place.

Please let us know when ordering if delivery is difficult: narrow access, backyard, stairs, or no possibility for a no-parking zone. We will then coordinate this with the freight forwarder in advance instead of the driver arriving at your door unable to proceed.

Please check the shipment upon delivery and have visible transport damage noted directly on the bill of lading. This is the only basis on which we can successfully process a claim against the freight forwarder.
